Lionel “Bear” Wade Wilson, age 46, a resident of Franklinton, passed away Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, at the Kentwood Nursing Home in Kentwood.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Elaine Davis Wilson of Franklinton; one son, Deonte Akeem Walters of Franklinton; one daughter, Crystal Long of New Orleans; a child that he raised as his own, Jayden Jefferson of Franklinton; one grandson, Kobe Christopher Long of New Orleans; five brothers, Willie Wilson of Gretna, La., Gilbert Wilson of Reserve, La., Dennis Wilson of Tylertown, Miss., Charles Edward (Ashanta) Wilson of Houston and Andra (Latonyette) Wilson of Frank-linton; six sisters, Linda Nell Wilson of Tyler-town, Miss., Shirley Ann Long of Jackson, Miss., Roma Fagan of Bogalusa, Amy Lynn Wilson of Covington, Debra M. (the Rev. Carl) Bickham of Tylertown, Miss., and Cynthia (Darryl) Causey of Douglasville, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Earl Wilson; his stepmother, Vera Mae Wilson; a brother, Richard Wilson; and a nephew, Brandon Ruffin.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., with a Family Hour from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.
The funeral service will be Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Sweet Rest Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Mallery Callahan officiating.
