Richard Holliday

Richard E. “Doc” Holliday, born Sept. 28, 1949, passed away Feb. 13, 2015, at his residence at the age of 66. He attended West Side Emanuel Baptist Church. He was a member of the Bogalusa Moose Lodge, a member of the V.F.W. and a member of the Magic City Post No. 24 of the American Legion. He was also a U.S. Army veteran and served during Desert Storm and Desert Shield.
He is survived by his wife, Wyvon Holiday of Bogalusa; three sons, Keith Holliday, Craig Holliday and Duane Holliday, all of Bogalusa; a sister, Francis (Louis) Breland of Bogalusa; six grandchildren, Allyssa Holliday, Tomi-Ann Holliday, Anna Beth Holliday, Tristan Holliday, Hadley Holliday and Bailey McNeese; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry K. and Ethel Wheat Holliday; and a brother, Kenneth Holliday.
Visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. The interment will follow in the Ponemah Cemetery.
American Legion Post No. 24 will provide Military Honors.
