The Rev. Robert Charles Reyer, age 68, of Gulfport, Miss., went to be with the Lord on Jan. 29, 2015.

He was preceded in death by his father, John C. Reyer; his stepfather, James R. Brewer; a sister, Elsie Lynn Hocutt; and a nephew, Michael Crawford.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Patsy Walker Reyer; his two children, Aimee (Apostle Thomas Ray) Clute and Kevin Charles Reyer; his grandchildren, Daniel Ray (Shelby) Clute and Wesley Adam Clute; his mother, Eloise Keller Brewer; his sisters, Jane Ann Reyer (Albert) Crawford, Mary Brewer (Terry) Patrick and Teressa Brewer (James) Hernandez; and other relatives and friends.

The Rev. Reyer was born on Oct. 20, 1946, and grew up in Crossroads, Miss.

The Rev. Reyer was an ordained minister with the Church of God and served the Lord as an Evangelist across the nation. He was the founder and songwriter of Faithway Singers, and over the years they produced 18 albums. Since 1998, he was a member of River of Life Church.

Visitation was on Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Gulfport Church of God, 2412 29th St., Gulfport, MS 39501. The funeral service was at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the church. Friends visited after 1 p.m. on Saturday. Interment was in Evergreen Gardens.
