Andrew James Sprehe Sr., 75 years old, of Bogalusa passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton.

He retired from Temple-Inland after 45 years.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Velma Sprehe of Bogalusa; two sons, Andy (Bridget) Sprehe and Ricky (Tracy) Sprehe of Bogalusa; four grandchildren, Lacie, Calli, Bean and Mallory; one great-grandson, Karson; two sisters, Marie (Ed) Mitchell of Picayune, Miss., and Ann (Jeff) Sanders of Columbia, Miss.; one brother, William (Edna) Sprehe of Franklinton; sister-in-law, Audrey (Jim) Rinker; and brother-in-law, George Adams.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile Sprehe and Aline Pigott Sprehe; and one brother, Eugene Sprehe.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, from 9 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral services will be at 11 a.m., with Bro. Tom Descant and Bro. Ralph Parks officiating. Interment will follow at Adams Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dementia Association.
