Pine’s eight threes key victory over Holden
Pine knocked down eight shots from beyond the arc in a 73-46 victory over Holden at home Tuesday.
Ty Galloway led the charge with 22 points, which included six 3-pointers.
Hunter Copper put up 21 while knocking down a pair of threes.
Jordan Phelps recorded 15 points for the Raiders in the win.
Mt. Hermon downs Pope John Paul II
Mt. Hermon’s Jessie Pouncey delivered 28 points, and Corterio Williams posted 22 in a 72-55 District 8-2A opening win at home Tuesday.
Jordan Sandifer recorded seven points while Jack Brister had five.
Joseph Magee and Gerald Bunch finished with four apiece, and Marshaun Dillon added two in the victory.
Bowling Green downs Silliman
Bowling Green placed four players in double-figures in a 72-55 victory over District 6AA foe Silliman Institute at home Monday.
K.J. Robertson recorded 14 points to lead the Buccaneers’ scoring attack. He also pulled down five rebounds and had five steals, two assists and a block.
Connor McCain returned from an injury and put up 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting to go with six rebounds and a steal.
Jordan Barnes nearly hit a double-double. He had 12 points and eight rebounds along with three steals and an assist.
Lane Adams posted eight points, four boards, a steal and a block.
Brady Goings nearly hit double-figures and logged eight points on 4-of-7 shooting. Goings also had two assists and a steal.
Bryan Ottinger put up six points, four rebounds and three steals.
Jared Gambino added three points while Jace Ball, Dylan Varnado and Austin Reedy all had two and Daniel Bischoff contributed one.
The Bucs were 50 percent from the field (31 of 62) and made 17 steals.
Ben’s Ford loses to Columbia Academy
Ben’s Ford Christian School came up short to Columbia Academy, 48-44, in Saturday’s home game.
Peyton Robbins, who had 13 points, was the Eagles’ leading scorer.
Bowling Green falls to Parklane
Bowling Green suffered a 54-36 loss to Parklane Academy in Saturday’s game at home.
K.J. Robertson had a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds along with two steals and two assists.
Dylan Varnado posted five points while Jordan Barnes and Bryan Ottinger both recorded three. Brady Goings and Lane Adams both finished with two.
Pine doubles up First Baptist
Ty Galloway led Pine’s Raiders with 18 points, as four players reached double figures in an 82-41 victory over First Baptist Christian School at home last Friday.
Hunter Cooper had 14 points while Jamie Adcox finished with 13 and Jordan Phelps put up 10 in the victory.
Mt. Hermon wins against Kentwood
Mt. Hermon’s Jessie Pouncey scored 20 points and Corterio Williams had 19 in a 45-34 win over Kentwood on the road last Friday.
Gerald Bunch, Jack Brister, Jordan Sandifer and Jordan Smith each scored two.
Bowling Green victorious over Centreville
Bowling Green’s K.J. Robertson scored 25 points on 8-of-11 shooting, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out seven assists in a 65-52 win over Centreville Academy in District 6AA play on the road Friday.
Jordan Barnes and Lane Adams scored 10 points apiece. Barnes finished with five rebounds, two steals, a block and an assist. Adams had three rebounds, a steal and an assist.
Brady Goings posted seven points, two steals, a block, a rebound and an assist.
Jared Gambino scored six points on a pair of threes.
Bryan Ottinger finished with four points, a rebound and an assist.
Dylan Varnado hit a trey for his three points.
Bowling Green had 11 assists on 22 made field goals.
Franklinton falls to Warren Easton
Franklinton’s Demons suffered a 63-53 loss to Warren Easton at home Friday.
Nick Burkhalter led the Demons with 16 points while Tray Anders finished with 12.
Azende T. Magee had 11, and Azende O. Magee posted 10. Ryché Jenkins and Quincy Stewart both contributed two.
Ben’s Ford falls to Pontchartrain
Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Eagles lost to Pontchartrain, 69-57, in a home game held last Friday.
Destin Pittman had 17 points for Ben’s Ford.

Varnado victorious over Christian Life
Varnado’s Tarralyn Moses scored 35 points in a 71-17 victory over Christian Life Academy in District 6-1A action on the road Tuesday.
Breanna Holmes scored 13 points with Yienna Kemp a point behind.
Kenisha Kemp finished with six for Varnado.
Ke’arria Green, Quierra Bickham and Chloe Foster each added two for VHS.
Pine tops Holden
Pine’s Breyanna Brown registered 22 points, as the Lady Raiders defeated Holden, 69-61, at home Friday.
Nyxavion Robertson scored 13 points, with 10 coming in the first period.
Morgan Thomas finished with 20 points while Laken Breedlove and Kaylee Turnage delivered nine each.

Mt. Hermon’s Nicole Riley scored 23 points in a 40-29 victory over Pope John Paul II in a District 8-2A home game Tuesday.
Kailee Hughes put up nine points for the Lady Jackets.
Jada Norman finished with four while Angelica Anthony had two and Shmaya Hart and Patera Williams added one each.
Franklinton falls to St. Scholastica
Franklinton suffered a 50-33 District 8-4A opening loss to St. Scholastica Academy on the road Tuesday.
The Lady Demons trailed 29-15 at halftime. Franklinton was outscored 21-18 in the second half.
Chelsea Armand scored 15 points while knocking down four 3-pointers.
Shaikeria Fabré finished with 10 points. India Dickerson and Shelby McDonald both hit a 3-pointer for their points and Deja Martin chipped in with two.
The loss put Franklinton at 4-11 this season. SSA moved to 15-2.
Bowling Green rolls past Silliman
Bowling Green’s Kristina Jerrell and Reagan Moody scored 15 points each, as the Lady Buccaneers downed Silliman Institute, 71-22, in District 6AA play at home Monday.
Moody hit all six of her shot attempts, including three 3-pointers. She also had six boards and four steals.
Jerrell finished with three assists, three steals and two rebounds.
Ashley Foret, who hit half of her 12 shots, scored 13 points to go with five steals, three assists and two rebounds.
McKinley Seal logged 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting. She made five steals while dishing out four assists and grabbing a pair of boards.
Peyton Stogner had four points, two rebounds and an assist.
Hallie Robertson and Mason Edwards both added three points while Hollie Waskom, Cailee Fruge, Katelin Junkins, and Natalie Michel put up two apiece.
Bowling Green finished with 19 assists on 27 made field goals. The Lady Bucs were eight of 18 from beyond the arc (44.4 percent).
Bowling Green victorious over Parklane
Bowling Green downed Parklane Academy, 59-30, in a home game held Saturday.
Sydney Watson led the Lady Buccaneers in scoring with 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting. She also had three steals, two rebounds and an assist.
Watson was one of 10 Lady Buccaneers to enter the scoring column.
McKinley Seal and Ashley Foret were the other two in double-figures with 12 and 10, respectively.
Both dished out four assists and made three steals. Foret also had three rebounds.
Hollie Waskom had six points, two boards and an assist.
Kristina Jerrell posted five points, three boards, two assists, and two steals.
Katelin Junkins added four points, two rebounds and an assist.
Reagan Moody logged three points and two rebounds while Mason Edwards, Natalie Michel and Peyton Stogner all had two points.
Bowing Green hit 54.5 percent of its shots (24 of 44) and finished with 14 assists.
Franklinton cruises past St. Helena
Three Franklinton players hit double-figures in a 62-45 victory over St. Helena College & Career Academy.
Shaikeria Fabré scored 15 points for the Lady Demons while Chelsea Armand had 12 and Deja Martin finished with 10.
Jada Thompson put up nine while Shelby McDonald recorded eight and Denetra Rayford finished with six.
India Dickerson and Jameria Crain both added one point.

Pine’s Breyanna Brown scored 19 points in a 62-21 home victory over First Baptist Christian School Friday.
Nyxavion Robertson finished with 10 for the Lady Raiders.
Bowling Green beats Centreville
Bowling Green’s Reagan Moody had a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds to go with four steals, two assists and a block in a 68-33 win over Centreville Academy in District 6AA competition on the road Friday.
Hollie Waskom also put up a double-double, posting 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting and 10 rebounds. She also had three assists, three steals and a block.
Ashley Foret put up nine points, five rebounds, four steals and two assists.
Kristina Jerrell logged eight points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal.
McKinley Seal recorded six points, nine assists and five rebounds
Katelin Junkins finished with six points, six rebounds and a steal.
Mason Edwards had five points while Peyton Stogner and Natalie Michel both added two.

Bogalusa Lady Jacks fell to Jewel Sumner, 79-47, in Friday’s road game.
JaMaya Mingo-Young topped the Lady Jacks with 18 points while Nylijah Mingo put up 13.
D’Sha Rankins finished with five points while Amia Peters posted four points.
Dezyriah Rankins had three, with Diamond Martin and Jasmine May scored two apiece.
