Fannie W. Tyson

Fannie Mae Williams Tyson was born to Alberthia Williams and Sylvester Williams Sr. on Jan. 20, 1940. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Fannie leaves to cherish her memories three children, S.L. Tyson of Franklinton, Maxie (Leon) James of Franklinton and Shirley (Tayre) Williams of Franklinton; one brother, Sylvester (Ethel) Williams Jr. of Franklinton; six grandchildren, Q’udeian Fantyon James of Franklinton, Courtney Tyson of Texas, Armetra La’Tasha Tyson of Hammond, Tyechia La’Tae Tyson of Franklinton and Lakita “Peaunut” Lewis of Franklinton; 16 great-grandchildren; and two godchildren, Willique Dyson of Franklinton and Dashun Wilson (Corey) Howard of Shreveport.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Alberthia Williams Sr.; a grandson, Malcom Vernell James; and a goddaughter, Margaret “Tat” Bradley.

Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m., with a family hour from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

The funeral service will be Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Sweet Home Church of Christ Holiness in Franklinton, with Elder Washington Drake, pastor of church, and Pastor Charlie A. Reed Jr. officiating. Interment will be held in the Sweet Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
