Pine Basketball Association Tournament

The Pine Basketball Association is hosting its second adult basketball tournament Feb. 7, 2015 at the old Pine Gym.

To be eligible, you must meet one of the three criteria, which includes, having played at Pine High School, have a child playing this year in the Pine Basketball Association or coaching a Pine Basketball Association team this year.

The cost is $30 and includes a T-shirt. You can register and pay Jan. 3 at old Pine Gym and Thomas Gym.

USM Showcase Camp

The University of Southern Mississippi baseball program will play host to its Winter Showcase Camp Jan. 10, 2015, at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field. 

Registration for the camp begins at 11 a.m., that day with the clinic starting at noon and running through the completion of the workout.

This camp is designed to allow current high school freshman through junior college sophomore (junior college freshman must be academic qualifier) baseball players the chance learn the skills needed to compete at the next level while receiving instruction from current Southern Miss coaches, various junior college coaches and other four-year Institutions.

The price is $155 per camper and the cost includes instruction, insurance, and a Southern Miss camp T-shirt. The itinerary will include instruction specific to each participant’s defensive position, improving 60 times and hitting. Any pitcher will be allowed to also participate at their other position.
