Bogalusa downs Pearl River

Bogalusa’s JaMya Mingo-Young scored 28 points and made two steals in a 52-33 victory over Pearl River at home Nov. 21.

Diamond Martin posted nine points, while Jasmine totaled six points and 10 rebounds. Dasha Rankins added four points with six boards and five steals for Bogalusa (1-1). Nylijah Mingo logged three points. Dezyriah Rankins and Amia Peters had three and two boards respectively.

BHS’ next home game is Dec. 2 against Franklinton. The boys and girls’ teams will be competing. It is also a black out game. Fans can purchase a Bogalusa vs. Franklinton black T-shirt through Bogalusa High School.

Bowling Green victorious over Copiah

Bowling Green placed three players in double figures in a 64-35 win over Copiah at home Nov. 21.

Reagan Moody scored 18 points on 7-of-11 from the field. She finished with four rebounds and three steals. Moody also converted 4-of-7 from beyond the arc.

Kristina Jerrell hit for 17 points and was good on 4-of-9 in 3-pointers. She added three rebounds and a steal.

Ashley Foret posted 13 points and seven rebounds. Foret was good on 5-of-6 from the free-throw line.

McKinley Seal added six points, while Hollie Waskom and Hallie Robertson had three apiece. Katelin Junkins and Peyton Stogner had two each.

BOYS

Bowling Green defeats Copiah

Two Bowling Green players tallied double-digit point totals in a 54-22 victory over Copiah at home Nov. 21.

Brady Goings led the way with 14 points on 6-of-8 from the field. He also grabbed three rebounds and made three steals. Goings knocked down two treys.

Jared Gambino put up 12 points on 4-of-5 from the field, all 3-pointers.

K.J. Robertson posted nine points and six rebounds.

Connor McCain had four points, while Dylan Varnado, Jace Ball and Lane Adams all scored three and Daniel Bischoff logged two.
