Mr. Floyd Lee Owens, age 76 and a resident of Bogalusa, passed away Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, at his residence in Bogalusa.

Precious memories will be forever linger in the hearts of one son, Floyd Reshard (Kim) Owens of Bogalusa; six daughters, Linda (Phillip) Wise of Highland, Md., and Chiqueta (Ricky) Pittman, Deidra Yvette Owens, Christa (Michael) O’Ree, Latonya Maria Owens and Monique (Darius) Moses, all of Bogalusa; one brother, James “JT” (Alice) Owens of Baton Rouge; one sister, Ersie Pittman of Bogalusa; grandchildren, Tracy Wise, Rickey Pittman, Riqueta Pittman, Chiqueta Pittman, Rickayla Owens, Rickashia Owens, Mighonna Bickham, Michael O’Ree Jr., Mikel O’Ree, Mighelle O’Ree, Milaya O’Ree, Tyrik Henry, Janyria Owens, Jaztani Owens, Khloe Owens, Tekharin Owens and De’Auvia Brown; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, William (Catherine) Peters of New Orleans and the Rev. Harvey R. Carson of Tylertown, Miss.; four sisters-in-law, Carolyn Peters, Hilda Peters of Elkhart, Ind., Leola Peters of New Orleans and Irene B. Peters of Bogalusa; five godsons, Cullie Cotton Jr., Tommy Tyner Jr., Tony Martin, Roderick Morris and Jermaine Morris; two special nieces, Tracy Tyner and Valerie Cotton; special family and friends, Delia and Jimmy Morris of Las Vegas, Ray Owens, Rene’ Owens of Bogalusa, Vinescal Guy, Helen Magee of Tylertown, Ernie B. Causey of Biloxi, Miss., Royan Burris, Ronald “Hoop” Williams, Mr. Travis Thomas of Bogalusa, Rocky Owen of Angie and Robert Owens of Sandyhook, Miss.; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., with a family hour from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa.

The funeral service will be Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1104 Poplas St., Bogalusa, with the Rev. Dr. Raymond Mims, pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in the Bogalusa Cemetery in Bogalusa. Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa is in charge of arrangements.
