Alice Terrell

Alice Marie Crain Terrell was born on Nov. 7, 1947, and passed away on Nov. 23, 2014.

She lived most of her life in Pine with her late husband, Clyde Terrell, where they operated Pine Seafood and Fish House for many years together. She was also retired from the Washington Parish School System, where she worked as a paraprofessional for 20 years. Alice will be remembered for the way she loved people. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends. She loved being in the kitchen where she enjoyed cooking, especially on special occasions for those she dearly loved. She was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Clyde “Lindy” Terrell Jr.; four grandchildren, Justin Terrell, Kayla and Casey Tyler, Skyler Terrell and Allison “Allie” Terrell; and three great-grandchildren, Melanie and Robert Terrell and Addison Claire Tyler. She is also survived by a very special companion, Freddie Roth; two sisters, Annette Batson and Doris Crain; two brothers, Lester Crain and Johnny D. Crain; and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde L. Terrell; two infant children; her father and mother, Mart and Annie Ingram Crain; five brothers, James, Preston, Horace, David and Ricky Crain; and five sisters, Darlene Gerald, Claudia Branch, Winnie Netto, Elgie Taylor and Linda Nell Duncan.

Visitation was held Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 6 to 10 p.m. and continued Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, from 9 a.m. at Pine First Baptist Church until time for the service at 11 a.m.

Interment followed at the Pine First Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Keith Branch, Pastor David Easterling and Brother John Lowery officiated.
