Teams are taking the court today, as the Mt. Hermon Tournament gets under way this afternoon.

The event features four boys and four girls basketball teams looking to get off to good starts for their 2014 campaign.

Four games take place today, and the tournament wraps up tomorrow with four more contests.

The first match up today features the host team’s girls taking on Kentwood at 4 p.m. At 5:15, Mt. Hermon’s boys take the floor to play Kentwood.

Varnado’s girls get under way at 6:30 p.m. and take on Franklinton.

The night ends with a 7:45 p.m. contest between Varnado’s and Franklinton’s boys’ teams.

Tomorrow’s time slots remain the same, but the matchups differ.

The opener is between Mt. Hermon’s and Franklinton’s girls, while the second one features Mt. Hermon’s and Franklinton’s boys.

At 6:30 p.m., Varnado’s girls compete against Kentwood.

The event concludes at 7:45 p.m. as Varnado’s boys face Kentwood.
