James T. Magee Sr., age 71 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans. 

He leaves to cherish his memories a son, James T. Magee Jr. of Katy, Texas; a daughter, Aliscia Magee of Bedford, Texas; three children he raised as his own, Kim M. Howard of Seattle and Yolanda Campbell and Theresa Martin, both of San Antonio; a sister, Winona Magee James of Franklinton; five brothers, Edgar (Verna) Magee of Seattle, Runell (Elnora) Magee of Renton, Wash., and Calvin (Almeta) Magee, Albert (Francis) Magee and the Rev. Larry (Mary) Magee, all of Franklinton; 14 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Aurelia S. Magee; his parents, Brunell B. and Gussie L. Magee; a son, Brunell A. Magee Sr.; and a brother, Edward Charles Magee. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at 9 a.m., followed by services at 11 a.m., at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Franklinton, with the Rev. Johnny Causey officiating. Interment will be in Magee’s Cemetery in Franklinton.
