Mavis G. Magee

The Lord in his wisdom brought rest to Mavis Ollane Graves Magee peacefully on Oct. 29, 2014. She was born on Feb. 27, 1927, in Mitchell City, La., to the late John Henry Graves and Emma Magee Graves.

Ollane leaves to cherish her memory a one daughter, Curtis Lee (Chalmas) Brown Folsom; two grandsons she raised as her own; Kevin (Nicole) Magee of Clinton, Miss., and Keith Magee of Boston; a special granddaughter, Kaleyah Elaine Bickham of Franklinton; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; her beloved caretaker, Terri; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Curtis Magee; two sons, Alvie Magee and Robert Magee; a daughter, Elaine Weary; nine sisters; and four brothers.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Outreach Full Gospel Baptist Church in Franklinton, with the Rev. Antoine Graves officiating and the Rev. Keith Magee as eulogist.
