ELFER

Mary Richardson Elfer, 95, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Northshore Specialty Hospital.

Mary, a native of Bush, was born on June 30, 1918, and resided in Slidell. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, August William Elfer; her parents, John and Sarah Richardson; two brothers, Bill Richardson and Palmer Richardson; and a sister, Ellen Knight.

Numerous nieces and nephews survive her.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 30, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until time for funeral services at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Matthew Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.
