THOMAS

John Henry Thomas, 82, a resident of Franklinton, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

He was born on Nov. 13, 1931. He loved to be outdoors working with flowers and gardening.

He is survived by two daughters, Alicia Thomas Duszynski of Baton Rouge and Debra Brock of Tylertown, Miss.; a son, Jeffery Harold Thomas of Tylertown; two grandchildren, Lacey Whitehead and Austin Duszynski; three great-grandchildren, Jason, Dallas and Olivia; and two sisters, Wessie Jones of Thomas and Flora Phillips of Tylertown.

He was preceded in death by a son, John Alan Thomas; his parents, Frankie and Eunice Dillon Thomas; and three sisters, Elma Ray Touchstone, Frankie Faye Thomas and Mary Knight.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014 until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Stan Statham and the Rev. Walter Mixon officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery.
