Five students from the Arkansas Tech University U.S. Army ROTC program outlasted a field of 80 competitors to win the active duty division in the inaugural Heroes Ruck Challenge, hosted by SheepDog Impact Assistance Organization, a 15.3 mile road march at the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock, Ark.

Participants in the March 22 event carried rucksacks with a minimum weight of 35 pounds over the more than 15-mile course in support of the families of American service men and women, state troopers, firefighters and emergency medical personnel who have died in the line of duty.
