STRAHAN

Jimmy Dale Strahan, 59, a resident of Franklinton, died at 2:04 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Riverside Medical Center.

Born on Sept. 3, 1954, he loved animals, especially his dogs and cats. He also loved to hunt and enjoyed fishing and being in the outdoors. He often watched old Western movies and TV shows. He was a loving father to his children.

He is survived by a daughter, Allison Strahan of Franklinton; a son, Trevor Strahan of Franklinton; a sister, Donnis Lang of Bogalusa; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Gary Strahan and Stanley and Sharon Strahan, all of the Oak Grove community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Levert Strahan and Ester Mae Baughman Strahan.

Visitation was held Friday, April 18 at Crain Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Derek Dantin officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Matt Strahan, Chris Penton, Trevor Strahan, Craig Watson, Kim Hunt, Kenny Rester, Davis Polster and Everett Crawford.
