MAGEE

Ava Ginn Magee, a resident of Franklinton, departed this life Monday, March 31, 2014.

Born on April 11, 1928, Ava was self-employed and gifted with many talents. She was a well-known seamstress, interior decorator and upholsterer. She was also a float coordinator assistant for the Crew of Pe Pe.

She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Lynda Magee-Dillon-Smith, A. Louise Magee and Simarone Magee; 11 grandchildren, Gina L. Ginn, George A. Magee, Reginald A. “Tony” Smith (Stacy), Avarone Pines (Rev. Egnos Sr.), Mahasa Carter, Yanick Z. Howard, Angelique Magee, Brandus L. Magee, LeVada Smith, Richarlda Conerly (LaShay) and Meia Conerly; 16 great-grandchildren, Kevin M. Jenkins (Kristen), Kris M. Jenkins, Reva S. Sadler, Perry R. S. Sadler, Zaria S. Graves, Shy’Anne Glover, Dejon Magee, Devante Magee, Ajani S. Magee-Thurman, Asia Magee, Flora F. Magee, Torance Glover Jr., Essence Glover, Skylar O. Williams, Skylee R. P. Williams and Elite L. Magee; three great-great grandchildren, Kamerin L. Jenkins, Kaylin J. Jenkins and Aubri (“Ava”ke) Lee; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A Homegoing Celebration and visitation was held Friday, April 4 at Craft-Ginn Funeral Chapel, 219 Hwy 98 W. in Tylertown.

The funeral service was Saturday, April 5 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church,

210 Ginntown Road in Tylertown, with Dr. Lanny E. Williams officiating. The Rev. Hivey Carson is pastor.

The family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their encouraging words, prayers and all other acts of kindness shown to us during our time of bereavement.
