Organizers of the Second Annual Bogalusa Gospel Music Festival have moved the event from the heat of the summer to the cool of early springtime, and they’ve assembled a lineup that is sure to attract people of all ages and aficionados of a range of gospel genres.

The festival will take place Saturday at Cassidy Park in Bogalusa starting with opening ceremonies at 2 p.m.

The acclaimed Zion Harmonizers will anchor the event with traditional gospel music at 2:15 p.m. Local southern gospel favorites Right Direction will take the spirit forward at 3:15 p.m. And the Bowling Family will continue the movement at 4:15 p.m.

Then the mood will then shift from traditional to contemporary when Grammy Award-winning Christian rock group Audio Adrenaline brings its “Change a Life” tour to a transformed stage starting at 6 p.m. Shine Bright Baby will be first up, Finding Favor will follow, and Audio Adrenaline will top off the event as the headliner.

Tickets for the show are $15 each and are available at First Baptist Church and McMillan’s Nursery. They are also available online through Event.attendstar.com.

Everyone is invited to bring a chair or to spread a blanket and enjoy the spirit-filled show.
