James Ambrose Reeves

James Ambrose Reeves, 101, a resident of Franklinton for the last 40 years, died, Friday, March 21, 2014, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.

He was born in Poolville, Texas on June 7, 1912, to John S. and Hannah Hocott Reeves and had seven siblings. He was ordained as a minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1951 and continued to be active in his ministry for 63 years until his death.

He is survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Ora Rogers Reeves, and two daughters.

Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service, Saturday, April 12 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 42509 Highway 16 East, Franklinton, LA.
