YOUNG

Chauncey Z. “Tracy” Young Jr., 67, a resident of Lawrenceville, Ga., passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014.

He was born in Bogalusa, and was a 1965 graduate of Bogalusa High School. He studied pre-pharmacy at LSU for three years and graduated from Northeast Louisiana School of Pharmacy in 1972. He worked as a registered pharmacist most of his life, and later earned a degree in naturopathic medicine. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his two children, Chauncey Z. Young III, who is serving in the Navy, and Erica Young (Michael) Thornsburg of Catlettsburg, Ky., and their children, Kimber and Michael; a sister, Gloria Jean Cole; a brother-in-law, William E. Cole; a niece, Elizabeth Ann Cole of Birmingham, Ala.; and numerous cousins in Bogalusa and Slidell.

His father, Chauncey Z. Young Sr., and his mother, Grace Elizabeth Harwell Young, preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 29, inside the White Chapel Memorial Garden Mausoleum at 1832 Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth, Ga., with Dr. Lamar Holley officiating.
