Varnado went 3-0 in the Livingston Invitational Friday and Saturday.

The Wildcats played two games Friday, winning 8-7 over Independence in nine innings and 5-4 against French Settlement.

In the extra-inning game, Jaylen Jefferson recorded two hits and had three runs batted in. Isaiah Alexander went 2-for-3 with a triple, three runs and two RBIs. Dearius Parker had a hit and an RBI.

D.J. Jefferson was the winning pitcher in relief of Jaylen Jefferson. D.J. Jefferson threw four innings, allowing no earned runs with four strikeouts and a walk.

Against French Settlement, Jaylen Jefferson and Kyle Slocum both had one hit and two RBIs.

Winning pitcher Isaiah Alexander threw all seven innings, allowing three earned runs with seven strikeouts and six walks.

The final game was a 3-1 win over Centerville Saturday.

Alexander posted two hits in three at bats and two RBIs.

Winning pitcher Dominique Harry threw six innings, allowing one run on two hits with 10 strikeouts and two walks.
