Mildred Virginia Owen, 90, passed away Friday, March 14, 2014, at AMG Specialty Hospital in Bogalusa. She was born on Aug. 23, 1923, was a resident of Bogalusa and member of New Life United Pentecostal Church.

One son, Charles Dennis Owen, and her grandchildren, Casie Denman and Kerry Denman, survive her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hildridge Owen; a stepson, Albert Louis Owen; a stepdaughter, Janice Sue Owen Denman; her parents, Charley and Lula Miley; a sister, Delma Toney; and three brothers, Elmer Miley, R.V. Miley and Lloyd Miley.

Visitation was Sunday, March 16 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home, 610 Ave F in Bogalusa, from 5-9 p.m. Visitation continued on Monday from 9 a.m. until time for funeral services at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Wesley Quave and the Rev. Don Miley officiating. Burial followed in Sam Carroll Cemetery.
