JOHNSON

Shirley Mae Crain Johnson, 62, a resident of Franklinton, born Dec. 27, 1951, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Regency Hospital in Covington.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Trumaine Johnson of Franklinton; two daughters, Hacienda Johnson and Jessica Johnson, both of Hammond; three brothers, Latimore Crain Jr. of Cerrito, Calif., Elijah Crain of Lynwood, Calif. and Jewell Crain of Franklinton; six sisters, Emma Walker, Myrtis Lee Warren, Jennie Conerly and Essie Singleton, all of Franklinton, and Betty Jean Jackson and Mildred Anderson, both of California; five grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Latimore and Myrtis Crain Sr.; one son, Rodrick Johnson; and two brothers, Willie J. Crain Sr. and Walter Crain.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 15 from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Lear Hill Church of God In Christ, with Supt. Leslie Fields officiating. Interment will be held in Lear Hill Cemetery.
