CHAUVIN

Wilma Lee May Chauvin, 93, passed away Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at her home in Denham Springs.

Born on Sept. 27, 1920, she was a loving, generous and honorable woman of faith, who adored her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children, Jean (Jimmy) Crain of Mobile, Ala., and Ann (Tiney) Guileyardo and Roger Chauvin, both of Denham Springs; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice P. Chauvin; her parents, Robert W. May and Ettie Dunaway May Smith; and one sister, Lois Allison.

In celebration of her heavenly arrival, visitation was held on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. until time for the funeral services at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with her great-grandson, the Rev. John M. Egbert, officiating. Interment will followed at Ponemah Cemetery.
