Mary Ethel Riley, 72, was born in Ronaldstown, Miss., on June 11, 1941, and she passed away Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at her residence in Bogalusa, surrounded by her loving family.

Her husband, Elmer Laverne Riley, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children, Marcus Ray Riley, Michael Wayne Riley, Jeffrey Laverne (Olevia Jones) Riley, Deborah (Gene) Bass, Mary Ann (Willie) Clark, and Steve (Kim) Wheat; her grandchildren, Jay and Kelvee Wheat, Amiee Wheat, Brent and Kristen Richardson, Martin Wheat, Lakota Hill, Kennith Ray Pierce, Nancy Marie Pierce, Christopher A. Bass, Rebecca L. Bass, Zachary Jordan Riley and Adam (Christen) Riley; her great-grandchildren, Woody Riley, Jennifer L. Bass, Jacob Louis Thomas, Alivia SueAnn Pierce, Kaleb Wheat, Kylee Wheat, Kaylie Crain, Connor Crain, Blaize Wheat, Kase Thompson, Caden Thompson and Braylin Thompson; and two nieces, Betty Crawford and Sandy (Charles) Wheat.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at Crossroads United Pentecostal Church Cemetery on Mississippi Highway 26.

Family and friends are welcome to attend the services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
