CROCKETT

Vernell Sumrall Crockett, 86, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at Resthaven Living Center in Bogalusa. She was born on June 5, 1927.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thelton Crockett, and her parents, William Larkin Sumrall and Florence Toney Sumrall.

She is survived by a niece, Roselyn Culbertson of Many; a nephew, Dennie Sumrall; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 2 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Patrick Magee officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
