BRUMFIELD

Alvin Spencer Brumfield, 63, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at his residence in Franklinton. He was born on Feb. 27, 1950.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Inetta Brumfield of Franklinton; one son, Jermaine Brumfield of Covington; one daughter, Nikita Brumfield of Baton Rouge; his mother, Willene Brumfield of Franklinton; five brothers, Alan Scott Brumfield and William Isaac Brumfield, both of Franklinton, Gerald Oless Brumfield of New Orleans, Ervin L. Brumfield Sr. of Houston and Richard C. Brumfield of Springfield, Mo.; three sisters, Merita D. Terry of Dallas, Lynetta Johnson of Sacramento, Calif., and Frances Smith of New Orleans; and a host of other relatives and friends.

His father, Oless Brumfield, and a brother, Preston Wayne Brumfield, preceded him in death.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at Sweet Home Church in Franklinton, with Elder Washington Drake officiating. Interment will follow at Sweet Home Cemetery.
