BELL

Ridley Bell, 87, a Bogalusa resident, departed this life Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at LSU Bogalusa Medical Center.

He is survived by one son, Ridley D. (Shukriyyah) Bell of Snellville, Ga.; four daughters, Linda Faye (Robert) Dillon, Margie Mae (Richard) Bell and Henrietta B. (Gary) Davis, all of Bogalusa, and Shelly Ann (Nathaniel) Crumedy of Avon Park, Fla.; one brother, Mason Bell of Shreveport; an adopted granddaughter, Brittaney Nicole Brock of Bogalusa; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Mae McGhee Bell; his parents, Benjamin and Idella Bell; three sons, Danny Bell, W.J. Bell and Donald Ray Bell; and one daughter, Flora Mae Laney.

Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 31 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa from 2-6 p.m., followed by a family hour from 6-7 p.m.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at First Church of God in Christ, 612 E. 5th St. in Bogalusa, with Bishop Howard Quillens, pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow at Bogalusa Cemetery.

Following the burial there will be a repast at American Legion Home Coney Post 547, East Avenue off of 6th Street in Bogalusa.
