SPURLOCK

Michael James Spurlock, 32, a resident of Covington, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014. He was born in Bogalusa on Jan. 13, 1982.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Kennedy Spurlock; one daughter, Hailie Madison Spurlock; two sons, Bladen Austin Spurlock and Grason Michael Spurlock; his parents, Richard and Elaine Quinn Spurlock; his mother-in-law, Jane Kennedy; two brothers, Richard Glenn (Lisa) Spurlock and Christopher Troy (Tricia) Spurlock; his brother-in-law, Derrick (Adria Cassidy) Kennedy; his grandmother, Claudine Spurlock; a niece, Hannah Spurlock; nephews, Ben Spurlock, Ryan Spurlock and Glenn Spurlock; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

His grandparents, James and Bea Quinn and Troy Spurlock, and his father-in-law, Kendal Kennedy, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 23 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m., and will continue on Friday from 10 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Marcus Rosa officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
