The Varnado Store Museum, located on Pearl Street in Franklinton, will host a “Quilts — Old and New” event during the months of January and February.

A quilt seminar is planned for Feb. 1 from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., where attendees may get their quilts evaluated, as well as watch demonstrations.

The fee for the seminar is $8, and reservations are required.
