A loving mother and grandmother, Oma Lee Galloway Roche, 82, a native of Isabel, passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at her home in Zachary.

She is survived by her son, Billie Roche Jr.; a grandson, Brennon Roche; two stepchildren, Norman Roche and Georgene Roche Cutrer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Roche Sr.; her parents, Jack Cauley Galloway and Clara Plaisance Galloway; a stepdaughter, Carla Roche Beeson; a brother and sister-in-law, Wendell and Paula Galloway; a sister and brother-in-law, Theo and Johnny Carpenter; a sister and brother-in-law, Dennie and Nevels Holland; and a sister, Joanette Galloway.

Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 20 at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral services at 11:30 a.m., conducted by Bro. Dale Phillips. Entombment will follow at 3 p.m. at the Sanctuary of Peace Mausoleum at Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa.

Pallbearers are Brennon Roche, Whitney Roche, Eddie Adams, Doyle Magee, Joe Boyd and Jim Perry. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Burdette, Carlton Loomis, Dr. Richard Kennedy, Welton Pierce, E. C. “Bud” Sutton and Bob Fonte.

The family would like to thank Beverly Mattocks and Brenda Mckenzie, her special angels; Drs. T. Richard Lieux, Vince Cataldo, William Russell, Steven Gremillion and Ronald Boudreaux, who gave her their very best care and compassion; In His Care Hospice; and her extended family of friends who visited and gave us their love and support during her illness.

Thank you Mom for your unconditional love, encouragement and the many good times and trips we shared. You will always be in our hearts.
