THOMAS

Lexie Seal Thomas, 90, passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at LSU Bogalusa Medical Center. A resident of Bogalusa, she was born in Varnado on Oct. 6, 1923.

She is survived by three daughters, Faye Miller, Judy (Ronnie) Farmer and Kay (Mike) Thomas; one son, Michael W. (LaDonna) Thomas; one brother, Leroy “Slick” Seal; 10 grandchildren, Brian Miller, Michele Corkern, Kim Wagner, Ricky Thomas, Ron Thomas, Mickey Thomas, Rebecca Jenkins, Ben Thomas, Chanel Sandifer and Lane Farmer; 14 great-grandchildren, Heather Hampton, Morgan Burr, Jacob Burr, Haley Jenkins, T.J. Jenkins, Skyler Thomas, Achton Thomas, Drew Wagner, Caroline Wagner, Austin Thomas, Karalyn Thomas, Macon Sandifer, Garrett Thomas and MaKayla Thomas; and one great-great-grandchild, Kash Hampton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie J. Thomas; one son, Ronald D. Thomas; her parents, Milous Seal and Judy Singley Seal; two sisters, Evelyn Bean and Peggy Stafford; two brothers, Max Seal and Dewayne Seal; and one grandchild, Danny Kuhn.

Visitation was held Friday, Jan. 17 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m., and will continue on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Glynn Erwin officiating. Interment will follow at Seal Cemetery in Varnado.
