BYRD

Newborn Natalie Marlene Jennifer Byrd passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at LSU Bogalusa Medical Center.

She is survived by her parents, Dustin Lamar Byrd and Ashlee Byrd, and her brother, Nathan Melvin Lamar Byrd, of Bogalusa; her grandparents, David and Sherry Byrd and Kendall Carter, all of Bogalusa; great-grandfather, Otis Bennett, and great-grandmothers, Mary K. Byrd, Barbara Bennett and Berda Pierce, all of Bogalusa; aunts and uncles, Melanie (Charles) Thomas of Bogalusa, Jennifer Corkern of Tennessee, Dierdra Byrd of Bogalusa, April Ordoyne of Franklinton, David Miller, Landon Miller, D.J. and Jonathan (Ashley) Carter of Mississippi, and James Dillon, David Stucker, David Penton and Amber Penton, all of Bogalusa; great-aunts and -uncles, Darryl and Trudy Guillot of Bush and Cindy Dean of Baton Rouge; and a cousin, Nicole Carter of Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Melvin Byrd; great-grandfathers, Daniel Otto Passman and Wilson E. Jenkins; great-great-grandmother, Neva Marie Jenkins; great-aunt, Penny Byrd; and a cousin, Tasha Thomas.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Jan. 15 at Palestine Baptist Church from noon until time for the funeral services at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Fred Brumfield and the Rev. Jeff Mizell officiating. Interment followed at Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery.
