YOUNG

John Wayne Young, 63, departed this life Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at his residence in Bogalusa.

A truck driver for 47 years, he was very dedicated to his career, and through the years he made many friends.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Lea Dillon Young of Sun; two children, Stephen W. Young and Stephanie Felicia Young, both of Oakland, Calif.; two stepsons, Lorne Adams and Gavin Adams, both of Lewisburg, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Victoria, Christine, Tamera and Crunch; four brothers, Charles (Peggy) Young of Sun, Robert (Inez) Young of Bogalusa, Willie (Sabrina) Young of Fort Worth, Texas, and Lyndon (Tandra) Young of Sun; and four sisters, Dawn Patricia Young and Gwendolyn Annette Young (Michael) Laurent, both of Bogalusa, and Chandra Frenchon Young (Eric) Holmes and Ellen Marie (Jessie) Bickham, both of Sun.

Two brothers, Wesley Ray Young and Harry Matthew Young, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 19 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa from 2-6 p.m. The funeral service will be on Monday at 11 a.m. at New Hope Church of Christ Holiness, 1108 Warren St. in Bogalusa. The Rev. Dr. Lenwood Thompson, pastor, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Young-Walker Cemetery in Sun.
