CARRIER

Athalee Carrier, 79, passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at LSU Bogalusa Medical Center. Born March 6, 1934, she was a resident of Bogalusa and a member of Plainview Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Wanda Carrier (Tom) O’Bryant of Bogalusa; two brothers, Alaber and Otis Mote, both of Magnolia, Miss.; and one granddaughter, Amanda O’Bryant of Bogalusa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Carrier; two daughters, Rose Carrier and Donna Wynette Carrier; her parents, Lonnie and Ruth Mote; three brothers, L.C. Mote, William Mote and Leroy Mote; and two sisters, Minnie Williams and Ruby Pounds.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Jan. 14 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until time for funeral services at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Bob Adams and Bro. Jimmy Byrd officiating. Burial followed in Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery.
