TAYLOR

Robert Gregory Taylor, 54, a resident of Crossroads, Miss., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at Slidell Memorial Hospital. He was born in Picayune, Miss., on July 8, 1959.

He is survived by his wife, Kelly Spaulding Taylor; two daughters, Alissa Taylor (Derek) Thomas and Lauren Elizabeth Taylor; one sister, Gina (Richard) Smith; and one brother, Gralin (Debra) Taylor. all of Crossroads; five nieces and nephews, Josh Taylor, Jared Smith, Zack Smith, Duke Bennett and Charmane Wheat; four great-nieces and nephews, Jakeob Taylor, Jaxton (George) Taylor, Tristan Wheat and Jessica Carroll; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Duane Taylor and Elgie Faye Crain Taylor.

Visitation was held Saturday, Jan. 11 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home o from 5-9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Pete Underwood and the Rev. Tommy Pittman Jr. officiating. Interment to follow at Paige Cemetery in Crossroads.

Active pallbearers are Tim Smith, Dennis Necaise, Huey Sones, Mike Hollis, Mike Smith and Terry White. Honorary pallbearers are Til White, Paul Ball, Richard Strahan, Richard Smith, Fred Cochran and Todd Bergeron.
