Rosie Lee Thompson Price, 96, entered eternal rest at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at West Jefferson Hospital.

A homemaker, she was a native of Bassfield, Miss., and a long-time resident of Bogalusa and Houma. At the time of her death she resided with her daughter in Marrero.

She was the wife of the late Louis Price; the mother of Mildred P. Mack of Marrero, Betty Jean Johnson of Duncan, Okla., and the late Wilma Ray Price, Janie P. Harris and J.W. (James) Peters; sister of the late Mattie Lewis and Clenward Thompson; grandmother of 13; great-grandmother of 33; and great great-grandmother of 14. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, as well as members of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church and employees of Ochsner Clinic West Bank, Tulane University Tropical Medicine, Republic Services, River Parish Disposal, T.J. Maxx and Progressive Waste Solutions are invited to attend services on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 2 p.m. at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home in Bogalusa, preceded by visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Bogalusa Cemetery.
