Chad Jacob Ellis, 42, a resident of Dayton, Tenn., born Nov. 17, 1971, died early Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, in Bogalusa.

He was a heavy equipment operator for KBR Power and Industrial Construction.

Chad was best known for his fun-loving personality, loyalty to those he loved and his compassion for the people that he met. He will be sadly missed by everyone that knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Christie Kelly Ellis of Dayton; daughter, Mikayla Ellis of Lafayette; parents, Mickey and Sharon Lynn Ellis of Tylertown, Miss.; a sister, Aileen Thomas of Tylertown; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, the Rev. Joseph Kelly and Sharon Kelly of Franklinton; and a host of much loved friends and other family members.
