BROWN

Jimmy Lee Brown, 57, a native of Washington Parish and a resident of Bogalusa, departed this life Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, in Baton Rouge.

Born on Feb. 28, 1956, Jimmy Lee was a veteran of the United States Navy, who was known for his superior athleticism, pleasant sense of humor and kind heart. The California Angels (formerly known as the Quad City Angels) drafted him as an outfielder in 1975.

He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family members.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Freddie Mae Brown; his father, Otto Brown; his sister, Remona Rose Brown; and his brother, Donnie Ray “Private Eye” Brown.

Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 27 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home from noon until 2:30 p.m. A memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, immediately following visitation.
