PURDY

Anne Troxclair Purdy, 89, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at her home in Bogalusa. Originally from New Orleans, she was born Oct. 5, 1924, and has resided in Bogalusa since 1994.

She is survived by three children, Jeri (Gene) Gunulfsen of Bogalusa, Robert (Renee) Purdy of Watertown, Conn., and Patricia Purdy of Violet; one brother, Wilbur (Lynn) Troxclair of Hammond; her grandchildren, Amy, Bryan, Kimberly and Melissa Stewart, Wayne Whitson and Travis, Ian, Madeline and Luke Purdy; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur D. Purdy; her parents, Anne Evalin Waguespack and Felix Francois Troxclair; and nine siblings, Felix Troxclair, Russell Troxclair, Herman Troxclair, Gerald Troxclair, Francis, Troxclair, Calvin Troxclair, Gwendolyn Troxclair, Elise Mouton and Felicia Holt.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 21 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. Interment followed in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
