BICKHAM

Jonathan Clint Bickham, 32, a resident of Franklinton, died early Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, as the result of an automobile accident near Franklinton.

He was born in Bogalusa on May 7, 1981, and was a lifelong member of Acy’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Clint was a loving son, brother and uncle. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He worked for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development as an engineer technician while also becoming a nurse. Upon completion of nursing school, Clint received the Nursing Excellence “Spirit of Caring” Award and began working at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Franklinton. He was employed by Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center for the past four years.

Clint always enjoyed playing the piano, traveling, cooking for friends and family and gardening, but he most enjoyed having his nephew, James, and niece, Alyssa, come over to play Kinect video games, watch movies and sit around the campfire roasting marshmallows.

He is survived by his parents, Hayes and Ruby Bickham of Franklinton; a brother and sister-in-law, James Bickham and Misty Byrd Bickham, whom he loved as his own sister; his best friend, Shawn Holcomb; a special niece and nephew, Alyssa Bickham and James Bickham; his grandparents, Linwood and Irene Corkern of Franklinton.

He is also survived by special family members, Rebecca “Beck” Bowman and Beau Bowman, who were like a sister and brother to him, Aunt “Auntie Shrew” Mara and Maw Jean, and Kent Brumfield, who was as close as a brother; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James Bickham and Darrel Gatlin; grandparents, Herman and Betty Ingram; a very special uncle, Steve Ingram; an uncle and aunt, Kenny Wayne and Judy Erwin; and an aunt, Pat Dykes.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 10 at Crain Funeral Home from 6-10 p.m., and will continue on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m., in the funeral home chapel, with Elder Richard Magee, Elder Duane Ball and Elder Edward Penton officiating. Burial will follow in Acy’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
