Franklinton tops Pine

Franklinton’s Haley Sellers scored 18 points and Pine’s Breanna Brown put up a double-double in the Lady Demons’ 52-47 victory over the Lady Raiders Tuesday at FHS.

Brown finished with a game-high 23 points and 12 rebounds, including five on the offensive end. Shay Seals had nine points and four boards, while Morgan Thomas added five points for the Lady Raiders (3-2).

FHS’ Chelsea Armand tallied 13, while Amber Carter had eight. Shakeria Fabre and Lana Thomas both finished with five for the Lady Demons (4-2).

Franklinton edges Loranger

Franklinton’s Denetra Rayford broke a 40-40 tie when she came up with a steal with nine seconds left and then scored the go-ahead layup, propelling the Lady Demons to a 42-40 victory over Loranger at home Monday.

Rayford finished with five points. Amber Carter led the Lady Demons with 14, with Chelsea Armand scoring seven and Haley Sellers six.
