James and Katie Perry are proud to announce the birth of their first child, James Bennett Petty Jr. He was born at Forrest General Hospital on Aug. 28, 2013, at 1:30 a.m. He weighed 9 pounds, 6 ounces and was 22 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Eugene and Suzanne Cutrer of Osyka, Miss. Maternal great-grandparents are Bill and Margaret Ryals of Bogalusa. Paternal grandparents are Benny and Jenny Petty of Hattiesburg, Miss. Paternal great-grandparents are John and Shirley Davis of Hattiesburg.

Bennett is welcomed home by big sister, Kolbie.
