DYSON

Clyde Dyson Sr., 85, a resident of Paincourtville, departed this life Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013. He was born in Ponchatoula on Dec. 25, 1927.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Johnson Dyson; one daughter, Rebia Q. Dyson; one son, Clyde Dyson Jr.; five grandchildren, Quincy A. (Jessica) Dyson Sr., Candace Ross, Dallas “Lil Rob” Dyson, Brittany T. Dyson and Breanna R. Dyson; three great-grandchildren, Faith Condoll, Quincy Dyson Jr. and Gizelle Melo; one niece, Odeal Richardson; two sisters-in-law, Estoria Francis and Leoria Young; and two brothers-in-law, J.C. Wilson and Frank Joseph.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Claudia Wilson; one brother, Pvt. 1st Class Clarence Dyson; one nephew, Andrei Wilson Sr.; and a daughter-in-law, Theda M. Dyson.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Nov. 10 at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, 206 West 10th St. in Donaldsonville, from 5 p.m. until time for funeral services at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Cornell Joseph officiating. Dismissal will be Monday at 10 a.m., with interment to follow in Dyson Family Cemetery in Mt. Hermon.
