Jack Junior Batiste, who was born on Oct. 20, 1955, was called home Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife, Rosalin Batiste of Ponchatoula; one son, Jack “Lamar” Batiste III of New Orleans; one daughter, Alisha Batiste of Alexandria; one brother, Rodney Batiste of Wisconsin; six sisters, Estella Batiste of Georgia, Marie Washington of California, Brenda Guzman of Louisiana, Jacklyn Batiste of Georgia, Martha Batiste of Minnesota and Desily Barnes of Wisconsin; one grandchild, D’angelo Dingham; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held Thursday, Oct. 31 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Washington St. in Franklinton, from 2-5 p.m., with a family hour from 5-7 p.m.

Visitation will continue on Friday at First True Love World Outreach, 41239 South Range Road in Ponchatoula, from 2 p.m. until time for the funeral service at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Roy D. Burton Sr. officiating. Internment will follow at Holly Garden Cemetery.
