HART

Prentiss Hart, 79, a resident of Franklinton, passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at Heritage Manor in Franklinton. He was born on March 26, 1934.

He leaves to cherish his memories three daughters, Brenda Hart Hewlett of Gretna, Prinise Lee of Atlanta and Prinette Lee of Jackson; five brothers, Roy Lee Hart, Felton Hart and Ervin James Hart, all of Franklinton, Talmadge Hart of Folsom and Rayfus Hart of Kenner; three sisters, Ozzie Mae Garrett of Folsom and Creola Blackburn and Wllean Simmons, both of New Orleans; nine half brothers and half sisters, Camazell and Kimmie Nichols, Loyd Warren, Dorris, Bennie and Michael Andrews, Norman Brock, Willie Ester Peters and Antoinette Lott; one godchild, Alicia Hart Warren; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Hart; his mother, Maree Hart; his wife, Irene Hart; one brother, Moses “Harvel” Hart; and a sister, Lenora Ellis.

Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 1 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Franklinton from 2-7 p.m.

The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday at 10 a.m. at New Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Rev. Terrence August, eulogist, and the Rev. Johnnie Causey, host church. Interment will follow in Martin Cemetery in Franklinton.
