WHITAKER

Donice Cornail Whitaker, 57, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was born on May 16, 1956.

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Vallerine Whitaker of Bogalusa; three daughters, Patricia Lundy and Amber Lundy, both of Baton Rouge, and Carmell Denise Fields of Bogalusa; one brother, Harold (Adriann) Whitaker Jr. of New Orleans; three sisters, Carolyn Shabazz of Moreno Valley, Calif., Octavia (Thomas) Robinson of Zachary and Dianne Whitaker of Bogalusa; three grandchildren, Da’Shunta Field and Jeremiah Fields, both of Bogalusa, and Kylah Clark of Baton Rouge.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Whitaker Sr.; two brothers, Larry J. Whitaker and Theodore W. Davis; a sister, Lillian Hogans; and his grandmother, Octavia Whitaker.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa from 2-7 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Christopher Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in Bogalusa Cemetery.
