Varnado High School FFA leaders Destiny Jones and Devin Jenkins attended the national 212 conference at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Baton Rouge, on Sept. 28. The conference name is indicative of the change that takes place when water boils changing it into steam. The major focus of the training was centered on leadership and community development and the role of leaders as positive change agents. Jones and Jenkins also had the privilege of meeting many of the Louisiana State FFA officer team members.
