A silent auction featuring a wide variety of quality items or services generously donated by local area businesses will be held at the Sawdust and Splinters World Champion Lumberjack event. All proceeds from the auction will go directly to the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children in Jackson, Miss. Learn more about the hospital at www.facebook.com/batsonhospital.

The silent auction will take place the entire time of the event, and winners will be an-nounced Saturday, Nov. 2. Items up for auction include a men’s Seiko watch, Etta B Pottery, cookbooks and much more.
